Just Keep Running

This weekend I had the opportunity to run with the St. George Running Center Super Girls in the Lake to Lake relay. I only had this opportunity because my Aunt Kendra got sick and I took her spot. I feel so bad that she didn't get to run! She is absolutely amazing and loves to run and be apart of the running groups. I really hope she gets well soon! I am really lucky that she picked me to run for her. I had a blast and I made some great new friends! I now know why Kendra loves to run with them. They are so adorable and each have a unique personality! I was seriously smiling and laughing the whole entire time!

The race started at 8 AM and I was the first runner, I ran 6 miles and I ran as fast as I could. When I got to my teammate I was so relieved and didn't think I was going to be able to run any more! After the next 4 ladies ran their section, it was my turn again to run. I was pumped and way excited to run again. I had to run 4 more miles. IT WAS SO HARD! I had the tuffest time running it! but all the girls said that I booked it and ran fast. I felt sooo slow and I could hardly breathe after! But I am proud of my self for never stopping and pushing through the butt pain. And I am not kidding, my butt hurt sooo bad! So worth it though. Our team finished third and Im so proud of all the ladies in the group! Everyone did so amazing, they are the fastest group of ladies I have ran with yet! Our average pace was 7:37 minute mile pace! That is so awesome! I am so grateful for the opportunity to make new friends, run with these wonderful ladies, and have my legs hurt for the next week. It is truely thee best feeling :)

Hello and Goodbyes

hello blogging world. Long time no post. A LOT has happened in the last week. It has been a very emotional week. My best friend, Benjamin Ira Emett, left for his mission on February 22, 2012. But i couldn't be happier for him. I am extremely proud of him for being so strong and faithful to his calling. He has been called to serve in the Rosario Argentina mission. I know for a fact that he has been called of God. It makes me smile just thinking of Ben in the MTC right now. His spirit, smile, humility and cuteness will shine there and he will make tons of friends. People are just drawn to him because of his kindness and ability to make others feel so good about themselves. He will be a great missionary and will change the lives of others.
Now while he is gone, it is my chance to serve my own little mission. To work on things that i can be better at. Its my chance to strengthen my testimony and to reach out to others around me. I will strive to be the best person i can be and become an educated young woman. About three days ago i had no idea what i was going to go into but with much prayer, faith and courage i decided and declared a major. I am majoring in Elementary Education with a dual license in Special Education. I am so excited! I plan to graduate from SUU and move to St. George and teach there. I cannot wait to get started. I am excited to hear about Ben's adventures and i am excited to start my own.
